Responsibility
- assist senior engineers in setting, programming and operating CNC lathes
- collaborate with the other centres and office staff efficiently
- learn to program CNC lathes using Fanuc and Siemens controls
- assist in the inspection of precision machined parts
- perform simulations and modeling using software tools such as shop turn and One CNC
- gain proficiency in CAD software, such as Rhino and Solid Works , for mechanical design tasks
- assist in the maintenance and upkeep of your machining centre
- an ability to learn about metal and plastic material grades and assist with it's control, handeling and storage
Requirements
- minimum GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and one additional subject
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- strong analytical thinking and mathematical abilities
- effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- interst and understanding of engineering principles and concepts
- proficiency in GD&T
- ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- knowledge of mechanical systems and components
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
