Responsibility
other roles include supporting clinical colleagues, clinical mentoring and supporting the management team in reviewing clinical policy and procedures
to work as an autonomous Practitioner, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within your scope of practice to our patient population
the main role of the Advanced Nurse Practitioner is to be an active member of the same day acute duty team, remotely triaging patients by telephone or eConsult, diagnosing, treating and/ or referring
should a patient require further assessment for diagnosis, face to face appointments can be arranged. There could also potentially be some home visiting required with this role
in this role you should be able to work within your clinical competencies and would need to prescribe in line with the ‘Prescribing in the community’ guidelines
we would also expect you to adopt our practice ethos of patient centred care, focussing on prevention and patient education to support self-help and health engagement
deliver care according to NICE guidelines and evidence-based care
undertake any training required in order to meet the needs of the practice
