Responsibility
drive a proactive business development plan, working with the company directors and marketing team
researching potential markets, industry trends, opportunities, and competitor activity
managing and developing existing client relationships
oversee and manage the existing marketing team
proactive follow-up of new sales leads and marketing campaigns
develop relationships with major customers and supply chain partners
manage and build relationships with potential new clients. This will be a mix of professional sports clubs, schools, main contractors, local authorities, private clients, and industry consultants
attending and, when required, representing the company at selected trade shows and exhibitions
Requirements
proven sales and business development experience in either the sports turf, landscape, or construction industry
experience of commercial negotiations
customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills to include networking, relationship building, negotiating, and influencing
organised, confident, self-disciplined, self-motivated, resourceful, and loyal
willingness to travel as required within the UK and further afield
