business development manager

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • drive a proactive business development plan, working with the company directors and marketing team
  • researching potential markets, industry trends, opportunities, and competitor activity
  • managing and developing existing client relationships
  • oversee and manage the existing marketing team
  • proactive follow-up of new sales leads and marketing campaigns
  • develop relationships with major customers and supply chain partners
  • manage and build relationships with potential new clients. This will be a mix of professional sports clubs, schools, main contractors, local authorities, private clients, and industry consultants
  • attending and, when required, representing the company at selected trade shows and exhibitions

Requirements

  • proven sales and business development experience in either the sports turf, landscape, or construction industry
  • experience of commercial negotiations
  • customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills to include networking, relationship building, negotiating, and influencing
  • organised, confident, self-disciplined, self-motivated, resourceful, and loyal
  • willingness to travel as required within the UK and further afield
  • business development: 5 years
