- working for a family run business
- sub contracting to Derbyshire County Council Highways Department. Operating throughout Derbyshire
- operate a sweeper vehicle to clean streets, parking lots, and other designated areas
- remove debris, litter, and leaves using the sweeper equipment
- empty and dispose of collected waste in designated areas
- perform routine maintenance and inspections on the sweeper vehicle
- report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- follow safety guidelines and procedures while operating the sweeper vehicle
- valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
- ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
- strong attention to detail and ability to spot debris or hazards on the streets
- physical stamina to withstand long hours of driving and operating the sweeper vehicle
- excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting

- operate road sweeper vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and address any maintenance issues promptly
- navigate designated routes according to a predetermined schedule, covering assigned areas thoroughly
- use sweeping equipment effectively to remove debris, leaves, litter, and other waste from roads, Kerbsides, Pavement, gutters
- monitor sweeping operations to identify areas requiring additional attention or specialized cleaning techniques
- respond promptly to requests for emergency clean-up, such as spills, accidents, or hazardous materials on roadways
- coordinate with supervisors to report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or other incidents
- maintain accurate records of work performed, including mileage, hours of operation, and areas cleaned
- high school or equivalent
