Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- assist with the day-to-day operations of the yard, maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- receive incoming deliveries of materials, inspect them for accuracy and quality, and ensure proper storage and organisation
- prepare outgoing deliveries and loading of materials onto vehicles, ensuring accurate and secure packaging
- operate forklifts and other equipment to move and handle materials safely and efficiently
- collaborate with team members to fulfil material requests and provide support as needed
- assist in conducting regular stock checks and maintaining inventory accuracy
- adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate material movements and prioritise tasks
Requirements
- full UK Driving Licence
- previous experience in a similar yard or warehouse role is preferred but not essential
- forklift certification is desirable. Training can be given
- ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as work in outdoor conditions
- basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping purposes
- strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment
- commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following health and safety protocols
