  • production manager

Responsibility

  • working closely with designers and directors from inception to staging including supervision and monitoring of costs, standards and deadlines
  • managing extremely tight schedules with excellent advanced planning and advanced recognition of resources required to do so
  • ensuring communication, co-ordination and co-operation between the different production teams
  • engaging and monitoring the work of outside contractors on each production
  • managing multiple productions from inception to staging, having overall control of the budget of the productions, whilst maintaining artistic quality and technical practicalities
  • ensuring that up to date information is available and followed regarding quality, efficiency, materials and costs at all times
  • costing and controlling budgets for new and guest productions providing budgetary updates and re-forecasts if requested
  • ensuring production co-ordination with each Director, Producer, Designer, Lighting Designer, Sound Designer, Creative and Design Associates, Stage Management, Technical Director, Operations Manager, and other colleagues across the technical, production and costume team

Requirements

  • production Management
  • production Scheduling
  • full UK drivers licence and use of driven transportation
  • significant and extensive Production Management experience in a Theatre or Opera company environment
  • strong relationship management skills and clear communicator with a proactive approach to communication
  • flexibility to work varied hours including travel and work at other locations on WGHO business if required
  • able to manage conflict and seek resolution, demonstrating a professional and positive approach
  • ability to schedule and work with the different creative teams on the four shows to achieve the outcomes within deadlines
