Responsibility
- responsible for all finance functions as set out in the Academy Trust Handbook
- organise and manage work using own initiative but working within the given guidelines, parameters, and systems
- comply with financial and regulatory obligations, including Education and Skills

- to carry out appropriate duties set out by the Operations Manager and Trust Finance
- attend relevant team meetings

- carry out any other activities as directed to ensure the smooth running of the financial systems
- reporting to Operations Manager
- be responsible for achieving ‘best value’
- have regular meetings with the Operation Manager and take action in relation to items discussed at the meeting: ensure appropriate feedback
- process purchase orders for services and resources once approved, and process invoices using PS Financials
- manage the purchase of all resources and services for the school in accordance with the Trust Finance Policy
- participating in training and other learning activities and performance development, as required
- follow all agreed central policies and procedures, including working with the
- ensure the aims, priorities and policies of the Trust are adhered to
- monitor, assess and review contractual obligations for outsourced services, ensuring best value
- with the Catering Manager set the annual budget and monitor the budget
- updating the appropriate spreadsheets provided by the Trust Finance Manager, ensuring the correct and accurate information is recorded
- ensure all the necessary paperwork is filed as required by audit and to ensure an audit trail exists for all aspects of work
- carry out any other duties as commensurate within the grade, as reasonably requested by the Headteacher, Operations Manager or Trust Finance Manager
Requirements
- excellent personal organisation and self-motivation
- evidence of a further financial qualification, professional development or training
- excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
