Office Administrator (Temporary) Southampton
Office AdministratorTemporary contract until 30th September 2023 with the possibility to be made permanent.Hours: 30 per week, over 5 weekdaysSalary: £22,754 (pro rata) + benefitsA challenging and rare opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join our small and supportive team based in Portswood, Southampton.Wessex DriveAbility is one of only 21 Mobility Centres in the UK, accredited to undertake medical ‘fitness to drive’ assessments on behalf of the DVLA, Hampshire Police and self-referred clients. Wessex DriveAbility also carries out specialist adaptation assessments to enable drivers with medical conditions to return to driving using adapted driving controls.On job training will be provided and key accountabilities include:Ensuring appropriate reception of clientsEnsure that the general public receive a well informed and high standard information serviceAdministering client files, both electronic and paper including: processing referrals, administering appointments and post-assessment paperwork, preparation of reports and closing of client filesMaintaining accurate records of interactions with clientsGeneral house keepingProofreading and printing assessment reportsProviding support to the Centre Manager and carrying out any additional ad-hoc duties in line with the needs of the Centre’s activitiesEnsure that clients receive appointment times in an adequate timescaleQualifications and ExperienceGood IT skills including knowledge and experience of using Microsoft packagesPass-grade GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and EnglishExperience working in an office environment would be desirableSkills and CharacteristicsTeam playerAbility to multitaskKeen learner and have good attention to detailAbility
