Responsibility

  • to provide support and supervision to foster carers
  • to assess and be part of the recruitment process including Form F assessments for prospective foster carers
  • to work closely with our placement officer and other team members in relation to referrals and good matching
  • to contribute to delivering support groups
  • to attend and produce reports for fostering panel meetings as necessary, annual reviews, assessments and other matters
  • to carry out annual reviews of Foster families
  • to have an understanding of diversity, when working with fostering families and prospective carers
  • to contribute to the development of the fostering service, taking into consideration the fostering regulations and national minimum standards
