Responsibility
- contacting and connecting local and nationwide suppliers within the construction industry, obtaining quotations and lead times
- placing of purchase orders
- management of supplier database and Purchase Order registers
- identifying potential new suppliers and products
- assessing the reliability of suppliers
- ensuring compliance with company IMS system
- logistics and transport arrangements between sites
- general management and admin of purchasing documentation
Requirements
- experience in buying within the construction/ civil engineering industry
- ability to work to tight deadlines
- effective communication and team working skills
- knowledge of construction industry
- knowledge of infrastructure and energy works i.e; Sub Stations, Wind Farms, Solar Farms
- construction Buyer: 1 year
