Responsibility

to provide transport for patients to and from various hospitals
to assist with any extra work that the NEAS Patient Transport Service is unable to provide due to their increased workloads
we run a single crew, non blue light service for patients with mobility issues who cannot be transported by taxis
these patients are usually travelling to hospital for prearranged appointments
to drive vehicles hired out to member groups as required In accordance with WCT
minibus Hire Policy
to provide assistance to passengers as and when appropriate
to assist the Transport Manager to ensure that the vehicles used by Weardale

also to work with the Transport Manager to maintain the valeting and maintenance programme for all the vehicles
in carrying out this job you would be required to adhere to the Ambulance Service
some specific training will be given to enable you to fulfil the requirements of the post. This training is mandatory
primary responsibility is to drive Weardale Community Transport vehicles for various user groups and to drive patients from home to various hospitals and from hospital to home
as part of your work programme you may be required to carry out other driving or driving-related duties that are deemed appropriate to the post
policies and Guidelines as detailed in the Ambulance Service Level Agreement, which you are obliged to read. (A copy of this agreement is held in the Community
transport office at Weardale Hub and is available for you to refer to). You are also required to adhere to WCT policies and procedures
