Responsibility
- approx. £2M spend including raw materials, components, finished goods, consumables, logistics, utilities, hardware, software, telecoms and services
- lead negotiation on prices and contracts with global supply base
- leading implementation of process improvement
- supplier evaluation and management to ensure quality and timeliness of supply
- imp/Exp process management
- driving supplier performance using KPI’s
- inventory management
- cross functional co-ordination of inventory monitoring, storage and accuracy
Requirements
- you will have wide ranging international procurement experience
- research & analytical with attention to detail
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- effective negotiation
- flexible approach to ‘getting the job done’
- you must be an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain professional with at least 10 years’ experience in purchasing roles, ideally within manufacturing/engineering and/or the distribution sector and at least 3 years at a senior level with supervisory responsibility
