Responsibility
- the daily reconciliation of stock and anticipated sales to determine purchasing requirements to ensure no shortages for sales ahead
- we are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join the team who will run the Procurement Department and be a part of the Senior Management Team
- watts Farms is a third-generation family-run farming business, established in 1952. We are growers, packers, and distributors of fresh produce supplying the hospitability industry across Kent, London, and surrounding areas
- management of direct reports
- the role of the Procurement Manager is to ensure we are purchasing fresh produce in sufficient quantity, of excellent quality and at a price within budget
- liaising with the Sales Team and Customers where required
- you will be working on a full time, permanent basis and in return will receive a competitive salary of between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum dependant on experience
- report weekly KPI figures to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- experience at management level within a Fresh Produce Procurement Team is essential
- excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with our suppliers and bring new suppliers on board
- ability to lead and engage a team and build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels
- ability to determine priorities and be highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
- proactive with strong problem-solving skills and experience of working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
