Responsibility

  • walberton Nursery are offering an exciting opportunity to join the team in the position of Assistant Operations Manager
  • the Assistant Operations Manager will also be responsible for monitoring productivity and quality outputs and seeking improvements in efficiency
  • monitor and improve productivity, efficiency and quality; challenge improvements to productivity and efficiency through planning and targeting
  • line manage permanent and seasonal staff
  • this role will support the Production Operations Manager to deliver the needs of the Operations Department and provide a service to other areas of the business across a number of disciplines
  • undertake management weekend duties on a rota basis
  • the Assistant Operations Manager will have direct Line Management responsibility, and may over time develop direct management accountability for certain areas within the department
  • support the Production Operations Manager in deploying staff on a daily basis to adequately cover all operational needs, as well as supporting in staff training, agency management, potting and space planning
