Responsibility

  • an exciting opportunity has arisen at Wakoos Centre4Children Petworth for a Deputy Manager
  • the position is for 40 hours a week, all year round
  • wakoos is open from 7.30-6.00, Monday to Friday
  • the candidate is required to work on a rota basis often opening or closing the building
  • nursery Manager
  • to work with the management team in respect of development and review of the service
  • to work with the manager to ensure the nurseries planning and provision of a learning environment, meets the needs of all the children in respect of their care and education
  • to be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help, where needed, including undertaking certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g., preparation of snack meals, cleaning equipment, etc

Requirements

  • experience working in a supervisory role
  • experience working with children aged 0 – 5 years
  • at least a Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • 2 year experience of working in childcare
  • able to work shift patterns
  • excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • to wear the Nursery Uniform
  • team Player and ability to lead a team
