Responsibility
- work in conjunction with the Chief Actuary to ensure appropriate quarterly reserving analysis is undertaken
- produce ad hoc analyses to support reserve reviews
- assist as required in the analysis of business written
- interaction and strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the business, management and third parties
- liaise with internal and external audit and external actuaries reviewing the reserves
- provide actuarial support to the Finance team for the Business Planning process and Financial Reporting
- assist in projects as directed
Requirements
- qualified or nearly qualified fellow of the Institute of Actuaries preferred
- knowledge and prior reserving experience of the London Market
- experience in building reserving models and ad hoc analyses
- SQL, Python or R programming skills preferred
- strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with underwriters, finance and management
- ability to deliver and explain technical material to all levels and disciplines within the business
- ability to think about problems in logical way, solve them methodically, and communicate the solution with clarity
