Responsibility

  • installing cable assemblies, lighting and communication equipment to a varied range of new emergency service vehicles
  • dismantling and rebuilding vehicle interiors and exteriors
  • conducting fault finding and diagnostic work when necessary
  • you will be expected to work to very high and demanding standard
  • you will be required to undergo Police Vetting

Requirements

  • applicants must be able to work follow specific build instructions, take detailed notes and memorise installation details
  • applicants must be able to work on own initiative and unsupervised after training
  • must have experience in crimping terminals of automotive electrical connectors and soldering
  • applicants must have good communication skills and be a team player with ability to work closely with colleagues
  • applicants must have their own tools to suit the type of work – list can be provided
  • training will be provided in house and on the job
  • automotive Repair: 1 year
  • auto Electric: 3 years
