allocate rooms for next day’s check in’s
to take reservations and business enquiries in and out of office hours
ensure the safety of people and property in the hotel
carry out all necessary operations when guests arrive and depart
serve hotel guests at the bar when required
ensure that the workplace remains clean and tidy

Responsibility
to carry out reactive and preventative maintenance tasks
to handle day to day repairs in our rooms and all public areas
to liaise with our housekeeping, reception, and management teams in an effort to minimise any guest disruptions
report any machinery breakdowns to management to assess if call outs are required
liaise with any external contractors on specialised works
to manage your list of tasks efficiently
to respond to any maintenance issues within the hotel, prioritising the sale of rooms
to carry out a regular schedule for equipment testing and maintenance e.g. de-scaling, painting, filter changes etc
Requirements
previous maintenance experience, ideally within a hotel environment or similar
to be able to understand reports generated by our property management system
the ability to work with in-house communications
the ability to deal with a wide range of basic maintenance repairs
basic knowledge in electrical, appliance repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, etc
A practical working knowledge of health & safety and fire regulations within a hotel property environment. Training can be provided
to be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and a willingness to handle guest interactions
to be available and to attend emergency callouts when required
