Requirements

  • financial bookkeeping qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 or AAT Technician level
  • A Level in a maths or finance based subject
  • employment Experience Experience of working in a bookkeeper role for a limited company
  • to be honest, discreet and trustworthy
  • able to present a professional appearance
  • working with VAT registered companies
  • A passion for sustainability
  • strong communicator in both verbal and written formats

Responsibility

  • processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software and spreadsheets
  • preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
  • paying supplier invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • completing VAT returns
  • verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Operations Director of errors
  • recording any inconsistencies to help reconcile inaccuracies
  • as a financial Bookkeeper, your main role is to keep an official track of company spending so when it comes to filing accounts there is an accurate trail of all the outgoings
  • developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets

Education

  • NVQs/SVQs or equivalent from the Association of Accounting Technicians
