Responsibility
- assume responsibility for all site-based production output, product quality and safety on-time in-full shipping
- strong working relationship with customers, suppliers, internal staff as well as company peers to meet the business requirements
- job Title: Manufacturing Manager
- accountable to: Chief Executive Officer
- work with other Managers to recruit staff to fulfil the headcount requirement for the manufacturing operations function, implementing relevant training and development events to manage incoming talent
- in conjunction with executive and wider management teams, develop and implement realistic day to day performance targets, Key Performance Indicators , budgets and communication plans for the site
- allocate resources effectively ensuring assets are fully utilised to produce optimal results ensuring lean and continuous improvement methodologies are applied to all site-based processes
- plan and assign work to manufacturing teams providing clear responsibilities and accountabilities
Requirements
- masters or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related field
- safety qualification preferred
- demonstrable knowledge of business and management principles; budgeting, strategic and operational planning, lean manufacturing methodologies, resource allocation and people management
- experience in effectively managing and driving change
- experience of data analysis
- proven managerial experience as an Operations or Plant Manager at senior level in a multi-site manufacturing business. Whilst aerospace sector experience is desirable, it is by no means essential
- confident, skilled team player, IT literate with good verbal, numerical and analytical skills
- sound understanding of safety, quality, quality assurance, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes. Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement process management
