We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Marketing Executive to join our York-based Marketing Team.This exciting opportunity includes a range of activities such as marketing plan implementation, content design, event planning, and website and database management.The ideal candidate is likely to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Marketing role and will have knowledge of using the Adobe Suite programmes to design marketing content.This role requires the candidate to show initiative and manage their own workload.Position ObjectivesEnquiry generation from new and existing accountsRaise awareness of Varlink, our value added proposition and capabilities establishing us as the go to Distributor of Mobile Computing, Barcode & EPoS hardware.Business growth as a result of reseller marketing servicesSupport business retention ensuring customers are kept up to date on latest products and newsMain DutiesProvide input to develop and implement the marketing plan using appropriate tactics considering: Generation of new opportunities, relevant products from Varlink range, new product introductions and manufacturer resourcesMonitor effectiveness of marketing activities, measuring results, lead management, and adjusting the marketing plan accordinglyProduct stock analysis: Dead and slow moving product, aged stock and buying trends – popular products, changes in habitsCreate and implement monthly email marketing plan taking into account product availability, problem stock, product updates, promotions and topical contentGenerate monthly social media content calendar for scheduling in line with marketing planSupport resellers with marketing services with a view to increase businessMarket research into emerging and growth areas including vertical markets, key technologies etc.Website content managementDatabase
