Requirements
- apprentice trained to NVQ or C&G level in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar
- minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing plant background
- ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- have a ‘hands on’ and ‘can do’ approach
- ability to prioritise workload and concisely record information
Responsibility
- provide out of hours "Call Out" service
- we require a multi skilled maintenance engineer with experience in a maintenance engineering role to work alongside our existing maintenance assistant to improve plant availability with multiple production lines, manufacturing dairy and pork products
- maintain and repair component failure – motors, sensor, relays, soft starts & inverters
- repair electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic faults using drawings
- maintain all electrical components and installations in good working order
- replace bearings, chains, sprockets & belts as required
- carry out routine statutory checks as required
- complete a breakdown/fault log daily
