Responsibility
- manage production of new language courses from beginning to end, including sourcing native speakers, supervising translation, recording audio and post-production
- maintain existing language content and respond to client queries regarding courses
- work with the marketing team to help launch new language courses
- build and maintain an up-to-date database of reliable translators in over 150 languages
- liaise with development team on optimising bespoke localisation software
- liaise with marketing team to help produce copy for website and other media, as well as proofreading of language-related content
- ensure accuracy of company messaging regarding languages and teaching ethos
- manage localisation of website - liaising with overseas distributors to ensure final product meets sales and marketing demands - and other marketing copy
Requirements
- a second language
- working knowledge of common translation practices and software
- excellent attention to detail and great organisational skills
- passionate and knowledgeable about languages
- proficiency in at least one language other than English
- ability to manage large numbers of freelancers, work to tight deadlines and manage budgets
- ability to plan ahead and foresee potential pitfalls, especially regarding localisation projects
- good at liaising between different departments and prioritising workload
