Responsibility
- the IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests
- the role of the Support Technician is to provide support for all staff throughout the business
- the Support Technician is responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands
- provide technical support across the business for all IT issues raised through the helpdesk function via telephone, on-site and remote support
- IT Support staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through e-mail and in person
- take ownership of IT issues and escalate to senior support staff as required
- ensure accurate records are kept up to date through the helpdesk system and that users are informed at all times
- log calls with external service providers when required and manage these through to completion
Requirements
- previous experience of working in an IT related support role
- A working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems including Windows 10, 11 and Windows Server 2019, 2022
- experience supporting MS Office applications, thin clients, printers, IP phones
- A working knowledge of Active Directory, group policy management and Azure
- experience with automation tools such as PDQ deploy
- experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- experience working with ticketing systems such as Zendesk, ServiceNow
- TCP/IP networking experience with knowledge of switches, firewalls and routers would be beneficial
