dance teacher
Responsibility
- dance Instructor
- plan and deliver dance lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- teach a variety of urban dance styles, such as street, hip-hop, afrobeats, dancehall or contemporary
- create effective group choreography for performances and competitions
- provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and goals of the dance studio
- ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate schedules and events
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- strong knowledge and proficiency in one or more dance styles
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff members
- ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching dance
- organisational skills to plan lessons, manage schedules, and coordinate performances
- ability to provide constructive feedback in a positive and encouraging manner
