experience and demonstrated success in planning, undertaking, supervising and project managing clinical diagnostics and research to deliver high quality results
Responsibility
perform day to day duties as planned with the section head
able to investigate quality control problems and plan remedial action to ensure patient safety
able to trouble shoot assay or equipment failings as they arise and monitor trends. The post holder will then work with the section head to implement improvements
the post holder will support the laboratory to conform with all health and safety legislation, local health and safety rules, regulations of the Health and Care Professions Council and the standards outlined by Clinical Pathology Accreditation Ltd/UKAS ISO15189
communicate scientific matters effectively with senior and junior staff within the department and to contribute to departmental meetings

educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience in a similar role
considerable experience of education support administration and/or supporting students in higher education
experience of managing and motivating staff across a range of activities
excellent communication skills

experience of developing, implementing, maintaining and reviewing complex working systems, policies and procedures
