Responsibility

  • there is the possibility of some occasional oversees travel, specifically assisting the Technical Manager in completing customer line trials
  • reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Technician will carry out laboratory-based tasks, including sampling, testing and measuring closures, recording and analysing results
  • typical work activities
  • the role will also involve providing technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively whilst adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines
  • the right candidate will be part of a small team that carries out fundamental tests, analysis and investigation to assist in the advancement and development of plastic closures
  • the work plays an important role in the foundation stages of research and development through to the approval of systems for commercial production
  • the role is integrated fully into the development process and therefore includes collaboration with design, technical services and commercial departments of the business
  • keeping up to date with projects and developments
