Responsibility
this is a key role reporting to the Network Maintenance Team Leader within the Regional Leakage Team
this role will be pivotal in helping United Utilities water network achieve its target position of frontier status
job Accountabilities
analysing faults, rectifying and ensuring correct operation of Network Pressure Management and flow measurement equipment
analysing and recommending solutions to recurring network problems to improve asset performance and reliability
the role has been developed to allow the water network department to deliver against its strategic targets by the undertaking of Effective Operations and Maintenance along with delivery against the Distribution Operations Maintenance Strategy for the PMV and meter assets
assisting other roles Clean strainer
flushing main for commissioning and maintenance purposes
Education
team working and communication skills will be an integral requirement of the role

ability to demonstrate the competency to work as part of a high performance team whilst having a proven record of achieving goals objectives and scorecard measures
proven experience of complying with all Health and Safety procedures and the capability of operating all machinery, equipment and tools within a difficult working environment
you will be trained to ONC in water Engineering will also follow the competent operator accreditation scheme and have all required H&S training such as NRSW and confined spaces
there will also be a dedicated training programme for the role that will allow the Network Maintenance Technicians to work effectively whilst delivering against our targets
