Requirements

  • previous experience in a hands-on, physical, outdoor management/supervisory role
  • A strong leader – able to support and challenge colleagues to achieve operational objectives

  • ability to react to operational situations with rapid trouble shooting responses to avert/resolve problems

Responsibility

  • deputise for Head of Ops as required
  • work with Head of Ops in maintaining and checking compliance with insurance requirements
  • reports to Head of Operations
  • be part of the duty manager roster to lead load ups in the mornings
  • manage and be an active part of the out of hours on-call function
  • work with Head of Ops and office staff to ensure HR and training records are up to date and compliant
  • manage and support team leaders and crew to undertake their tasks safely and efficiently
  • responsible for keeping stock in good order and condition, leading on repairs, cleaning and maintenance as required
