support the capture, interpretation and sign-off of data and reporting requirements from internal and external stakeholders
maintain an accurate and up-to-date reporting catalogue, capturing key information regarding UKIB’s certified datasets and reports
build, support and develop UKIB’s golden source data repository, including the transfer of data into the data repository, and the semantic layer used for consumption
actively contribute to all stages of the business intelligence development and reporting lifecycle as required in line with our agreed architecture and design standards
support the establishment and ongoing operation of a BI Centre of Excellence and a MS Power BI-focussed Community of Practice
explore innovative ways to leverage the data available to UKIB to deliver real business value, including using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and the tools and capabilities within the MS Fabric ecosystem and beyond
Requirements
essential
experience working within a data and/or reporting delivery team
extensive MS Power BI report development experience, including MS Power Query, DAX Coding and de-bugging experience
experience of capturing, interpreting and developing detailed reporting requirements
strong attention to detail and analytical skills
strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a straightforward and understandable way
experience of designing and developing reporting data models to support the delivery of quality MI, including in self-serve scenarios
