Responsibility

  • the Design Engineer will develop, integrate and implement technical solutions for some of GKN high-profile programs of work
  • aircraft and helicopters experience
  • experience in metal and composite structures, parts and assemblies
  • experience in conceptual phase or detailed design and manufacturing support
  • experience in multidisciplinary teams to be able to integrate all inputs
  • experience in designing composite structures is a preferred, including CAD tools like CPD and/or FiberSim
  • the Design Engineer will help to ensure designs are compliant with all relevant customer, egulatory, and airworthiness requirements and internal standards within the programs, schedule, and manufacturing constraints
  • use a variety of methods and tools, for example CAD and PLM software

Requirements

  • CAE tools like Nastran, Patran, Hypersizer etc
  • master CAD tools and associated databases
  • PLM tools like Team center, Windchill etc
  • experience in conceptual phase
  • you are proactive, autonomous and know how to work in a team and in multicultural environments
  • methods/Process/Procedures similar to Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and or any defense programs
  • you have good communication and listening skills and you show leadership
  • additionally any signatory experience on the above will also be beneficial
