Responsibility

• fabricate and assemble wooden structures, furniture, cabinets, and other joinery items
• read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials required and the dimensions of the finished product
• measure, cut, shape, and fit wood pieces using hand tools and power tools

• install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks
• ensure that all joinery work is completed accurately and meets quality standards
• collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to complete projects
• perform tasks related to masonry work, roofing, painting, and other construction-related activities as required

Requirements

• proven experience as a joiner or carpenter
• strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and joinery methods
• proficient in using hand tools and power tools

• physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labour
• knowledge of electrical work is a plus
