Responsibility

  • evaluate the condition of component; by disassembly, cleaning and inspection in accordance with company procedures
  • rebuild and Test the product in accordance with company procedures
  • use inspection equipment such as micrometers, vernier’s and bore gauges to measure components in compliance with the company procedure
  • founded in 1985, Turbo Power Services specialises in the supply, overhaul and upgrade of gas turbine auxiliary and fuel system components for the oil, gas, petrochemical and power generation industries
  • use of manual machine tools such as lathes and surface grinders to machine components
  • use of lifting equipment; pallet truck and overhead crane
  • safe use of cleaning equipment; chemical cleaning plants, shot blasting, aqua blasting, ultra sonic cleaning tanks and jet wash etc
  • generate test report detailing criteria tested and readings obtained which is stored in the project folder and approved during the final quality inspection by the engineering department

Education

  • must be educated to mechanical/electrical engineering apprentice level or equivalent
  • previous experience of working within a factory environment is desirable
  • fork Lift Truck License –Desirable
  • manual Handling and over head crane training desirable
  • excellent written and verbal skills are required to convey issues to your management and employees alike
  • planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure departmental and business objectives and deadlines are met whilst ensuring the integrity of the Company

  • HNC / Degree, Mechanical Engineering or relevant work experience
  • use of Solidworks drawing package
  • use of data acquisition and intelligent instrumentation hardware

  • able to interpret and read technical specifications and technical drawings
  • must have proven team-working skills
