Responsibility

  • conduct thorough building surveys to assess property conditions, identify maintenance needs, and plan repair strategies
  • develop and implement effective maintenance programs, including schedules and budgets, to ensure the longevity and quality of our housing stock
  • provide expert advice and technical guidance to internal stakeholders, contractors, and tenants on building maintenance, repair, and improvement projects

  • manage and oversee major repair and improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulations

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification is highly desirable
  • extensive experience working as a Building Surveyor, preferably within the housing sector
  • strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and construction techniques
  • proven project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and address complex building issues
  • strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
