Responsibility

  • small repairs can be conducted on site where as larger repairs will require co-ordination with our local tool makers
  • organisational skills will be required in order to control spare part stock levels and maintenance schedules
  • as a tool maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of injection blow mould, extrusion blow mould and injection moulding tools
  • the role will require the candidate to organise and prepare mould tools ready for installation and take ownership of the mould tools on site
  • access is available to a tool room with a grinder, miller and lathe if required and the role may require the candidate to aid the technical setters with mould installation but the main focus of the role is on tool maintenance and organisation

Requirements

  • highly organised
  • understanding of tooling design
  • understanding and experience of disassembly and assembly of mechanical parts including cleaning, lubricating, sealing and replacing O-rings etc
  • ideally have experience working with injection mould or injection blow mould tools
  • ideally have knowledge of milling, lathes and grinding
  • ability to understand 2D drawings
  • computer literate and basic understand of Microsoft packages
  • maintenance: 1 year
