- educated to at least HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline and/or a time served apprenticeship
- able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand engineering drawings

- ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes and both 3 and 5 axis machining centres
- have a good understanding of machining and production process/systems and lean manufacturing methods
