Working hours

Responsibility

  • verify and record dimensional measurements for components for customers
  • collate and check documentation for the issue of Certificates of Conformity
  • assist the Senior Quality Engineer to prepare reports on rejects and/or corrective actions
  • this would suit a person with core Business Administration skills with some mechanical / technical knowledge
  • assist with the internal calibration and validation of inspection jigs
  • work with internal process improvement teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products / processes
  • liaise with Sales staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  • on The Job training shall be given to the successful candidate

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • previous experience with completion of spreadsheets and documentation control
  • an understanding of technical drawings and documentation filing systems
  • familiar with measuring equipment
  • experience in Quality Control / Assurance would be a plus but not essential
