Requirements

you will be required to undergo enhanced DBS checks and provide relevant work references for the last two years
the successful candidates should have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 and/or 3 You will be expected to be up to date on childcare developments and have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and a basic understanding of OFSTED regulations for Day Care provision

Responsibility

to be familiar with Ofsted guidelines and recommendations of good practice and assist in their implementation
to share in the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in the Nursery
to contribute to the planning and implementation of appropriate programmes of activity for the children in collaboration with Senior Managers and Room Leader and other staff
to have a full understanding of the Nursery systems of record keeping and keep records of the children’s development, using the Nursery Key Worker system
to assist in the provision of an attractive and stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays, relevant to the ages and needs of the children, which encourage independence, self-motivation and eagerness to learn
to assist in the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development
look upon the Nursery as a ‘whole’ and be aware of where your help can best be utilised and be constantly aware of the needs of children
14. Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by Senior Managers and Room Leader
