TRACTEBEL is looking for employees for positions:
structural engineer
Responsibility
- completing the structural design and steelwork integrity assessments on new build nuclear structures, including for accidental situations
- perform or adapting the design of steel structural components, such a connection details and anchorages
- you will join the recently created TRACTEBEL entity in the UK, with very ambitious goals and exceptional projects
- coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders
- coordination with the CAD team to finalise design packages for procurements and construction
- the scope involves the design of steelwork and reinforced concrete structures
- checking and validation of steelwork designs produced by TRACTEBEL design offices
- coordination with other disciplines to ensure clash free and compliant designs
Contract type
- the contract is for a permanent role
Requirements
- programming skills in one or several languages are a plus
- bachelor’s or master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering
- experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software
- working towards or recently Chartered with the ICE, IStructE, or with equivalent experience
- experience in steelworks calculation and design
- working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards
- proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a multicultural team
- agile and self-motivated, with a focus on improving personal and team performance and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges
