T.&R. THEAKSTON is looking for employees for positions:
general operative
Responsibility
- the ideal candidate will be a generalist, capable of working in all aspects of delivery work, cask racking and packaging
- the work is varied and can be physical
- due to the manual nature of some of the work, applicants require a decent level of physical fitness
- van driving and delivering casks, kegs and packaged beers to pubs and shops across the North of England
- A permanent contract would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a 6 month probation period
- while previous experience in the brewing industry would be an advantage, it is not a requirement and all necessary training would be given to the right candidate
- we are looking for candidates with a "can do" attitude who have the flexibility to do a wide range of tasks and do what's needed on any given day. A positive approach to customer service is essential
Requirements
- full clean driving licence
- working as part of a small team it is important to have a positive attitude and to be a team player
- reasonable levels of literacy and numeracy are required
- working with a shovel to clear large vessels of spent hops
- opening/Cleaning/Filling casks
- kegging
- driving fork lift trucks
- A varied range of other brewery tasks
