Responsibility
- identify and research potential business opportunities and target customers
- develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve sales targets
- build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers
- prepare and deliver persuasive proposal, and sales pitches to potential customers
- negotiate and close deals, contracts, and agreements with customers to secure new business opportunities
- monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential business expansion areas
- regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management
Requirements
- strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and strategies
- excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively
- demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze trends, and identify growth opportunities
- proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant business development tools
- proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, ideally in glass and glazing or related businesses in the South West
- willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
