- key Responsibility 1: Care and Welfare of Children
- provide support and leadership to fellow staff members, promoting a cohesive and collaborative team environment
- to ensure shifts are planned in a way that resources are appropriately allocated and responsive to need, including the supervision of young people

- to develop and implement an activities program for the home, and to risk assess these activities with oversight from management
- undertake any other reasonable duties as requested
- develop and implement an engaging activities program for the home, while ensuring activities are appropriately risk-assessed under management's oversight
- to support keyworkers, or be a keyworker and ensure that all Keywork tasks and young people’s case files are up to date
- support care planning and behavior support plans for each young person
- maintain accurate and confidential records of shift events in the logbook, incident forms, and young people's logs
- to support care planning and behavior support plans
- to be in contact with parents, social services, or other relevant authorities as appropriate
- to undertake such duties as the Registered Homes Manager may, from time to time, request
- conduct effective supervisions and provide guidance to staff regarding training needs
- raise concerns about staff progress or attitude with the Registered Manager when necessary
Requirements
- previous experience working in a residential care setting, preferably with children
- well-developed written and verbal communication skills
