Responsibility
- you must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues across all other departments to ensure the efficient operation
- inspect and repair vehicles to the high standards set by DVSA and the company
- ensure that vehicles are maintained regularly in accordance with our PMI schedule
- prepare vehicles for MOT testing
- carry out diagnostics tests and take remedial action from defect reports
- we are seeking a talented, enthusiastic individual to join our team of highly skilled Vehicle Engineers in London, you will ensure a consistently high level of performance in maintaining the company’s fleet; ensuring vehicles are inspected and repaired to DVSA and company standards for MOT and roadworthiness
- you must have the ability to work as part of a team, and on your own initiative, taking health & safety considerations into account at all times
- liaise with the Head of Engineering on a regular basis to ensure compliance with the company standards and timescales
Requirements
- you will have experience as a PCV or HGV fitter / technician / mechanic
- evidence that you hold NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
- category D is desirable
