Responsibility

  • 1.Preparation of meals
  • maintain and account for stocks of foodstuffs, ensuring that all food items are stored correctly
  • maintain knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety etc., through attending training courses and staff meetings
  • ensure that all faults with kitchen equipment are reported immediately to enable the appropriate repairs to be carried out
  • maintain a hygienic working area, ensuring that all floors, surfaces and equipment within the kitchen and food stores are kept clean
  • maintain the safety of self and other kitchen personnel at all times, and reporting any accidents and/or dangerous occurrences to the Chef, Home Manager
