Responsibility
- coordinate all food preparation and service with other associates
- ensure that all food is prepared according to company standards and practices
- follow the prep list created by associates for food preparation
- place orders as needed for specific functions such as sauces, dressings, meats, or vegetables
- assist in maintaining sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- maintain cleanliness areas of the kitchen such as restrooms, storage areas, and equipment areas
- provide timely and accurate reports on inventory levels or other issues that arise
- inform management if there are discrepancies with supplier deliveries or if there are shortages with suppliers or other vendors
Requirements
- at least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- knowledge of health and safety rules in the kitchen
- ability to multitask and work under pressure
- excellent communication skills
- must be able to work as part of the team
- maintain equipment that has been properly cleaned
