Responsibility

  • develop and implement strategies to optimize the company's logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
  • oversee the entire supply chain process from procurement to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods
  • monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
  • collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, production, and procurement teams, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of logistics activities
  • manage relationships with external vendors, including carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to ensure efficient and reliable services
  • negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • develop and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
  • lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations

Requirements

  • proven experience of at least 3 years in logistics management, preferably in a fast-paced industry
  • strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and industry trends
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges
  • proficiency in using logistics software and systems to track and optimize shipments
  • demonstrated ability to manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers
  • strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
