Requirements
- experience of the construction industry
- ability to prioritise tasks in a timely manner
- previous tender/quotation and pricing experience
- experience of reading drawings and technical specifications
- excellent mathematical skills
- excellent communication skills
- awareness of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management
- clean full driving licence
Responsibility
- to engage and build a rapport with our suppliers, ensuring any changes in material costs and lead times are logged accordingly
- requirement to attend various meetings and assist the Managing Director with gathering specific details regarding the timber framed project
- monitoring the construction industry ensuring we are best placed within the market with reduced risks and increased profitability
- taking ownership for all aspects of timber frame estimating, whilst developing relationships with potential new and existing clients. Providing regular feedback to the Managing Director on the status of quotations and prospective new sales
- constructing and issuing quotations for all types of projects, ensuring all opportunities are followed within a timely manner, with the view of conversion to orders being priority. All feedback to be logged accordingly
- reviewing sales orders ensuring all material and labour costs are covered, along with ascertaining that the client's T&C’s are acceptable and meet with our own T&C's/Scope of Works
- to take ownership of the design and engineering phase, by ensuring all parties are kept up to date with any changes in design and or material, ensuring all design and manufacturing information is issued within a timely manner
