Responsibility
- to take day-to-day responsibility for the provision of meals and snacks for the children in the nursery
- must be Food Safety Management Systems & HACCP Trained and familiar all procedures
- follow Food Safety Management Systems & HACCP Safe Catering Guide and procedures

- to adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times
- document and complete the relevant records according to the HACCP Safe catering Guide
- follow the policies & procedures of the nursery at all times
- ability to comply with allergens and understanding the importance around this for safety of the children, and avoid cross contamination
- to liaise with nursery staff regarding children’s specific dietary requirements
- to order within the budget set by the Nursery Manager the food required to provide for the Menus the following week
- perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time
- attend meetings and undergo training as required
- this will include, but not limited to, food delivery records, refrigeration records, cooking/cooling/reheating records, hygiene inspection checklist, hygiene training records, transport & delivery records
