Requirements

  • minimum of Qualifications and Credit Framework - level 3 and working towards a Level 4/5 Foundation Degree
  • honours Degree/EYPS preferred
  • ICT qualification preferable or a very good knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • minimum of 2 years Early Years’ experience
  • A clear DBS Enhanced
  • nursery: 2 years
  • management: 2 years

Responsibility

  • as Child Protection Co-ordinator for the nursery, have a sound knowledge of safeguarding issues and be able to confidently identify signs of possible abuse or neglect and to support colleagues to respond and report all concerns in a timely and appropriate way
  • provide strong leadership within the nursery, taking responsibility to ensure the requirements set out in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage are met
  • take the lead to manage the Ofsted Inspection along with the Director, provide evidence and demonstrate confidently the nursery’s outstanding practice
  • have a strategic overview of the provision for planning and operation of the programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children within the nursery
  • to manage the nursery grant allocations process funding) by accurately recording eligibility, encouraging parents to update eligibility codes and completing monthly headcounts and estimation forms
  • audit key children’s record keeping and learning journeys through and ensure these are shared with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life
  • ensure someone known and agreed by the nursery and parent collects the children
  • monitor any performance issues which may result in disciplinary action, be fully conversant with Tick Tock All Stars disciplinary and grievance procedures and manage the process working closely with the Director
