bookkeeper

Working hours

  • part-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • invoicing, credit control and taking payments via a virtual card terminal
  • checking and entering purchase invoices and paying suppliers
  • entering bank payments and receipts
  • weekly calculation of wages and sending over to external payroll accountants
  • paying wages & HMRC and entering journals
  • performing bank reconciliations
  • calculating and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • controlling the bank and credit card accounts and budgeting effectively

Requirements

  • must have experience in a similar role. AAT level 2 would be an advantage but not essential
  • must have a great deal of experience in a similar role. AAT level 2 would be an advantage but not essential
  • must have a good working knowledge of Sage
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
  • ability to problem solve
